Booka Shade

Proposal for Art Direction of Booka Shade's new album under guidance of HORT Frankfurt. Booka Shade’s dance music is 100% native instrument based. Something they are very proud of. Their philosphy is to combine the raw sounds of electronic rhythm with the detail created by human touch and error. Our direction for their new album is to create a soundscape with the same quirks that make their music special. We created a simple system of sculpture only using plain coloured paper. The images we created for this installation are raw and heavy, like something machine made, but they’re only made from paper and string.
